Good bye 2017~

In 3-hour time, year 2017's soon becoming a history. At this very last day of the year, it's the time when I start to reflect on how well I've done so far. At times, I'm delighted with what I've achieved so far; on the other hand, regretted for things that I would have done better. I guess this sounds familiar to most of you, am I right?

I remembered my Senior Pastor once said: "Depending on at what position you look at <one thing>, it determines how you perceive it whether it's good or bad." His saying is so true for my case. In my opinion, or at least for myself, people tend to make comparison. When you compare yourself to someone else, you'll see yourself as better or worse. Regardless of how well or bad you've performed, you bore fruits according to your own deeds. Instead of looking at it pessimistically and stumble, why not change your perception, continue on your journey and make yourself a better person.

Just like you're what you eat! Your actions now determine where will you stand in future. Even though tribulations and storms may fall on you, take that as an opportunity to train yourself. Once the sky becomes clear again, that's when you can rise and shine!

Lastly, let's receive 2018 - the year full of hope and thanksgiving with excitement! I'll end here with some words for you to ponder...

If growing [trees] to bear fruit to fill up a basket is the hope of the future,
making a basket to hold the fruit in the present is, in part,
fulfilling the hope of the future and receiving the happiness of the future.
You cannot receive happiness and hope without a container.
